It’s been too sizzling for me for the previous few days. I’ve critically wilted and haven’t been capable of focus a lot. The very damaged sleep throughout the sizzling nights hasn’t helped.
At the moment, nevertheless, it’s been cooler in my little nook of the world, fortunately. So, I managed so as to add color to one of many two colouring pages I have to get carried out for Daydreams to finish that venture.
To maintain myself awake this night, I’ve had a little bit of an exploration of making artwork with none seen line artwork.
Now, this isn’t one thing I do a lot. I dip my toes into this model sometimes, notably with digital artwork. I appear to get on higher with it when working digitally.
Each time I work this fashion I ponder why I don’t do extra of it. After which I get distracted by contracts and the like.
As I work this fashion it feels very uncomfortable, virtually unnatural. There are bits of this work that I like. The bits I dislike are primarily the areas crammed with blobs and the chosen colors. I actually just like the curves and the shapes created. I additionally loved determining the right way to add texture to the areas of color. Oh, I like the way in which the colors virtually glow in opposition to the charcoal colored background.
I realise I have to get my head round utilizing layers in my digital work as that may make it quite a bit simpler to alter colors and components of the design I don’t like. Tonight isn’t the night time for that although; I’m nearly asleep as I kind and attempt to assume!
Oh, the shapes and varieties are very a lot impressed by the work of Ernst Haeckel. What has flowed from my floor pen onto the display of my floor studio has undoubtedly welled up from my arty coronary heart and unconscious.
I began off with out a sketch. However, I made a decision to sketch out the primary shapes/motifs for the remaining layers. I somewhat just like the ghostly chalk-like define hinting on the subsequent phases of labor.
