After a rippin’ world premiere of ENCOUNTER in 2020, in Parramatta, Western Sydney, FORM Dance Initiatives, Emma Saunders and a brand new dance ensemble, the WE ARE HERE Firm, are again with ENCOUNTER SYDNEY.
Unfold out on the forecourt of Sydney Opera Home, directed by the “formidable” Emma Saunders, ENCOUNTER SYDNEY explores the on a regular basis extraordinariness and power behind our subsequent era.
In collaboration with a gaggle of award-winning Australian artists, together with author, Felicity Castagna, composers, Amanda Brown (The Go-Betweens) and Jodi Phillis (The Clouds), a forged of 10 dancers and phrases spoken by Warren Foster, ENCOUNTER SYDNEY explores the indomitable spirit of youth and the world they discover themselves in.
The riveting soundtrack to ENCOUNTER SYDNEY, is the unique ENCOUNTER rating carried out and recorded by the musicians of the Western Sydney Youth Orchestra, performed by James Pensini.
The season runs from Wednesday 18 Could to Saturday 21 Could, 2022 at 4:30pm every day and it’s a FREE occasion.

ENCOUNTER and ENCOUNTER SOUTH have been initially Commissioned and Produced by FORM Dance Initiatives, supported by Sydney Youth Orchestras and FLING Bodily Theatre, for presentation in 4 Winds SPRING Competition 2019 and Sydney Competition 2020.
